Try and make something like it and see how close you come. It may be more difficult than you think to produce. Still some abstract artists get by not on their talent but by their ability to write something seemingly profound to explain what their art represents. And they are clever at convincing people who don’t really understand art, but like to pretend they do of the gravity of their creations. There are a lot of fakes in the art world today and marketers who help them fool the ignorant and “wannabe” art collectors, often people who have recently come into money and want to show off their newly acquired “class” who get duped into purchasing exorbitantly-priced, heavily-hyped but truly meaningless garbage. Real art, even when abstract has the ability to move the viewer and reveals an understanding of composition, color harmony, and art technique, plus evidence of an underlying artistic sensibility. It helps of course to have studied art, at least a little to appreciate what the artist has accomplished. But even the most ignorant viewer knows when looking at a Michelangelo that the guy knew how to paint.
