Sheet Music

Morning to Midnight and San Francisco Souvenirs

If you're a pianist who might enjoy playing selections from either of my CDs, or would like to purchase the sheet music as a gift, note that sheet music for all pieces is available. And because this piano music was carefully designed to fit the hand, much of it is accessible to pianists with quite modest technical skills. Some is available in printed format, however many works exist only in their original hand-copied editions. As I'm a trained music copyist, this should prove no problem. Below is a sample for your consideration:

Classical Music Fake Book

Have you have ever wanted to have the joy of playing piano without a lot of serious practicing? Then you may want to learn to play from "lead sheets" just like the jazz and pop music pros. If you already have basic keyboard skills and an ability to read music, my Classical Music Fake Book will provide a solid foundation to begin. This unique collection of over 100 favorite selections from the Classics is arranged for the novice "fake book" user and features melody and chord symbols from which the performer can improvise or "fake" his or her own arrangements. It is organized as a progressive self-study manual, and includes simple instruction on how to play all standard chords, suggested left-hand accompaniment patterns and other special features. At the same time, advanced users of "fake books" will find this collection a rich source of Classical material to work from. This is in standard printed format.

Some of the popular titles included are: Beethoven's "Ode to Joy" and "Fur Elise", Elgar's "Pomp and Circumstance March #1", Dvorak's "Largo" from the New World Symphony, Verdi's "Grand March" from Aida, Mendelssohn's "Wedding March", Tchaikovsky's "Sleeping Beauty Waltz", Brahms' "Lullaby", Saint-Saens' "The Swan" from The Carnival of the Animals, Offenbach's "Barcarolle", Mozart's "Turkish March", Smetana's "Song of the Moldau", Bach's "Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring", Satie's "Gymnopedie #1", Pachelbel's "Canon in D", Schubert's "Ave Maria", Strauss's "Blue Danube Waltz", Handel's "Largo", Wagner's "Bridal Chorus" and Puccini's "Musetta's Waltz" from La Boheme.

The collection is available complete in spiral binding by mail for $10.00 plus shipping and handling. To purchase, go to the ORDER page. When I receive your inquiry I will provide a shipping and handling quote. Shipping will take place within 48 hours of payment.

Traditional Holiday Season Fake Book

When composers choose to honour God, the magnitude of the responsibility often leads them to create music of unsurpassed inspiration. Who can not help be moved by Schubert's sublime "Ave Maria," Handel's magnificent "Hallelujah Chorus", or Father Gruber's deceptively simple "Silent Night"? These are but a few of the two hundred beautiful selections in my Traditional Holiday Season Fake Book - music that will not only help you relax and get into the Holiday spirit, but transcend the stress that often accompanies the Season. The collection includes music from over thirty countries and eight centuries, from the sacred to the secular, children's songs, marches, Chanukah songs, New Year's songs, and holiday favorites from shows like The Nutcracker and Babes in Toyland. Treat yourself to Mendelssohn's well-known "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" and to the gorgeous, but little-known "Weihnachten" by Humperdinck, composer of the popular children's opera, "Hansel and Gretel." From the 12th-century "O Come, O Come Emmanuel" to the more contemporary African-American classic "Go Tell it on the Mountain", the range of the collection is monumental, with English lyrics for dozens of selections provided for the first time. This is in standard printed format.

The following is a partial list of titles: "Away in a Manger", "O Little Town of Bethlehem", "We Three Kings of Orient Are", "The First Nowell", "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen", "Good King Wenceslas", "The Holly and the Ivy", "Ding Dong Merrily on High", "O Holy Night", "This Day is Born Emmanuel", "Lo How a Rose E're Blooming", "Adeste Fideles", "Carol of the Bells", "Jingle Bells", "Jolly Old Saint Nicholas", "Toyland", "Here We Come Awassailing", "The Twelve Days of Christmas", "We Wish You a Merry Christmas", "O Christmas Tree", "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy", "the Huron Carol", "Fum Fum Fum", "What Child is This", "Bring a Torch Jeannette Isabella", "Sing We Now of Christmas", "Chanukah Chanukah Such a Happy Time", "These Candles We Light", "Chanukah O Chanukah", "I Have a Little Dreydl", "New Year's Day in the Morning", "Old Lang Syne", and "Deck the Hall with Boughs of Holly".

The collection employs the same "lead sheet" format as the Classical Music Fake Book described above, and is available in spiral binding by mail for $15.00 plus shipping and handling. To purchase, go to the ORDER page. When I receive your inquiry I will provide a shipping and handling quote. Shipping will take place within 48 hours of payment.
